by 成人快播 Receives $75,000 Grant To Expand Successful Literacy Program in Colorado

June 12, 2013鈥擠enver, CO鈥National education nonprofit 成人快播 announced today that it received a $75,000 grant from the Daniels Fund to support its current program at seven Denver and Aurora, CO schools and help expand to three additional schools in the 2013-14 school year.

成人快播 launched in Colorado in 2012, providing one-on-one literacy tutoring to 366 students reading between six months and two and a half years behind grade level. Nationally, the organization operates in 103 schools, serving 5,500 students in Kindergarten through fifth grade.

聽“We’re extremely proud to have the support of the Daniels Fund,鈥 said Michael Turner, 成人快播 Colorado Regional Executive Director. 鈥淭hanks to this investment, 成人快播 can serve more students who critically need individual attention to thrive in and out of school.”

成人快播 sees demonstrable results in the reading skills of students in its program. In the聽2011-12 school year, 89 percent of students accelerated their progress in reading. Before enrollment last year, 成人快播 students gained an average of only 0.6 months of reading skills for every month in the classroom. By the end of the year with 成人快播, our students gained an average of 1.6 months of reading skills per month, more than doubling their rate of learning and catching up to their on-grade peers.

Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need, established the Daniels Fund to provide grants and scholarships in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. For more information, please visit .
